Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026
ManifestX is built local-first: your intentions live on your device. This page explains what the app stores, the services it relies on, the one Accessibility permission it asks for, and what our website measures.
1. Overview
ManifestX helps you keep a daily manifestation practice, reading or writing an affirmation, by pausing distracting apps you have chosen to protect until you complete a short ritual. Your written intentions never leave your device.
2. Information stored on your device
The following is stored only in the app's local database and preferences on your phone. None of it is sent to us or any third party unless stated below.
- Your manifestations: the intentions you write or read, and their category
- Ritual history and streak: completion dates, mode used, mood check-ins
- Protected app list: which apps you have chosen to pause with a ritual
- Onboarding answers: first name, age bracket, screen time bracket and goal, used only to personalise on-screen text
- Settings: unlock duration, reminder schedule and similar preferences
Uninstalling the app deletes this local data from your device.
3. Accessibility Service disclosure
ManifestX uses Android's Accessibility API for one narrow purpose: noticing the moment an app you have chosen to protect comes to the foreground, so it can show your ritual before you continue.
- Reads only the package name of the app in the foreground
- Never reads screen content, text or images
- Never records or transmits your activity anywhere
- Never modifies or interacts with other apps
You can turn it off anytime from Android Settings > Accessibility, or from ManifestX's Protected Apps screen.
4. Third-party services in the app
- Google Play Billing and RevenueCat: purchase and subscription status, to manage your Premium access. Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play; ManifestX never sees your card information.
- Google Firebase App Check: device integrity signals, used only to confirm requests to our server come from a genuine copy of the app.
- Google Firebase Analytics: app usage events such as onboarding steps completed, rituals completed (write or read), paywall views and subscription events with plan and price.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports with device model, Android version and app version.
- Meta (Facebook) App Events SDK: app installs, app opens, onboarding completion, trial start and purchase events (plan, price, currency), together with your device's advertising ID, to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to installs and subscriptions.
The text of your manifestations, gratitude notes and your protected app list is never included in these events. We do not sell your data. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in Android Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads on some phones).
5. This website
This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits from our ads: pages viewed, how far the page was scrolled, time spent on the page, answers to the on-page quiz (screen time, goal and how often you write affirmations) and taps on the Google Play button. The Pixel uses cookies and Meta's own identifiers. We do not collect your name, email or phone number on this website. The goal you pick in the quiz is also saved in your own browser so the page can show your affirmation again.
6. Data storage and security
Your manifestations and history are stored in an on-device SQLite database. Credentials used by the app's server-side components are kept in Google Cloud Secret Manager, never inside the app. Network requests use HTTPS.
7. Children's privacy
ManifestX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Your rights and choices
- Delete your data: uninstall the app, or clear individual manifestations or history within it
- Turn off Accessibility access anytime
- Restore or cancel a subscription from the Play Store Subscriptions page or ManifestX Settings
- Reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in Android's Ads settings
- Email us to ask about, or delete, analytics data linked to your device
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we will update the date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
